Purpose and Overview

The purpose of this job description is to attract highly qualified candidates for the position of Senior Devops Engineer at our growing company. As a Senior Devops Engineer, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in our team by contributing their expertise and passion to drive the development and implementation of our Devops processes and infrastructure. They will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our systems and applications, optimizing performance, and implementing best practices for continuous integration and deployment.

The Senior Devops Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and address any issues or bottlenecks in our development and deployment processes. They will also be responsible for designing and implementing automation tools and frameworks to streamline our operations and improve efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Devops methodologies, cloud technologies, and automation tools, and will be able to effectively communicate and collaborate with team members at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain our Devops processes and infrastructure
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to identify and address any issues or bottlenecks in our development and deployment processes
• Implement best practices for continuous integration and deployment
• Design and implement automation tools and frameworks to streamline our operations and improve efficiency
• Monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring high availability and scalability
• Manage and troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues
• Ensure security and compliance requirements are met
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement infrastructure and application monitoring and alerting
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to system and application incidents
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Devops trends and technologies

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a Devops role
• Strong experience with Kubernetes, Python, and AWS Certified DevOps Engineer
• Experience with cloud automation and cloud application development
• Proficiency in Jenkins, Ansible Playbook, Ansible Tower, Linux, Kubectl, and Kubeflow
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform
• Strong understanding of networking and security principles
• Experience with monitoring and alerting tools
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
