SBU Head (Equity Sales) Job Description

Purpose and Overview

The purpose of this job description is to attract highly qualified candidates for the position of SBU Head (Equity Sales) at our growing company. As the SBU Head, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the Equity Sales department, driving business growth, and ensuring client satisfaction. This is a full-time, on-site position with opportunities for career advancement.

The SBU Head (Equity Sales) will play a crucial role in developing and implementing strategies to achieve sales targets, managing a team of sales professionals, and building strong relationships with clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, economics, or accounting, along with excellent leadership and financial acumen. They should be client-centric and possess the vision and experience necessary to drive the success of our Equity Sales department.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets and drive business growth
  • Lead and manage the Equity Sales department, including hiring, training, and performance management of sales professionals
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing exceptional service
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and stay ahead of industry developments
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as Research and Trading, to ensure seamless execution of client orders
  • Provide guidance and support to the sales team, helping them to achieve their targets and develop their skills
  • Prepare and present sales reports and forecasts to senior management
  • Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and compliance requirements
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of the Equity Sales department
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the company's overall sales strategy

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in equity sales, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Excellent financial acumen and understanding of market trends
  • Client-centric mindset, with a focus on delivering exceptional service
  • Visionary mindset, with the ability to develop and implement innovative strategies
  • Experience in building and maintaining strong relationships with clients
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements
