Purpose and Overview

The purpose of this job description is to attract highly qualified candidates for the position of Area Sales Manager - Aftermarket. The Area Sales Manager - Aftermarket will be responsible for overseeing sales operations in the designated area, developing and implementing sales strategies, and achieving sales targets. They will also be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, conducting market research, and staying updated on industry trends. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of the aftermarket sector, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and a proven track record of driving sales growth.

Responsibilities

  • Manage sales operations in the designated area and achieve sales targets
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to capitalize on them
  • Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution of sales activities
  • Prepare sales reports and forecasts, and present them to senior management
  • Train and mentor sales team members to enhance their skills and performance
  • Monitor and analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
  • Stay updated on product knowledge and industry developments to effectively communicate with clients

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, preferably in the aftermarket sector
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth
  • Strong understanding of the aftermarket sector and industry trends
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in using sales CRM software
  • Willingness to travel within the designated area
